Pronouncing Posterous: Preposterous or Post-erous?

yesterday, i posted my first audio file on Posterous and unthinkingly
pronounced "Posterous" to rhyme with "preposterous"

it's now been called to my attention that the first syllable may (should?) be
pronounced with a long o as in a "blog post"

How to pronounce Posterous?

i think it's post-er-ous
(as 'post'-card)

so far, you're the only other one around here
i've found who's actually used this to post their own voice!

This is a shame-where are the poets!

It's very interesting to hear different accents.

Would be interesting to hear many folks reciting,
or better, speaking naturally, a prepared 'talk' that would highlight differences ....

for example, i have a 'unique' regional accent for Virginia -which is 'pronounced' in the "ou" vowel series (or whatever/however this would be explained) ..... especially "house-mouse" / as examples.

well, keep talking- very cool !

I think they're leaving the issue unaddressed intentionally. Mystery begets buzz and so forth. By the way, nice voice.

I was wondering the very same thing - in fact I was just about to upload a audio post myself asking the same thing. When I first signed up I didn't really think about it, I just thought it was "Post-er-ous". However, now I tend to pronounce it like "Preposterous".

We're happy with either pronunciation, but i've always said posterous like preposterous. It's the preposterously easy way to publish online!
